Will implement schemes in next 2 yrs: CM

Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said UP’s budget for 2015-2016 would provide an opportunity to his government to initiate new measures. Speaking to media on the New Year eve, the chief minister said a number of decisions had been taken and many projects had been launched across the state and he would focus on the implementation of these schemes.

Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said UP’s budget for 2015-2016 would provide an opportunity to his government to initiate new measures.

Speaking to media on the New Year eve, the chief minister said a number of decisions had been taken and many projects had been launched across the state and he would focus on the implementation of these schemes/ projects in next two years.

“The Samajwadi Party government has taken a lead in terms of work being done in different sectors in the state. We will spend next two years (2015 and 2016) in taking the state government’s achievements to the people,” said Yadav.

Chief minister said the state government’s Kamdhenu Dairy scheme and fisheries development schemes have provided new opportunities to the youth to start their own business.

He said the Lucknow Metro project would ease the traffic problem in Lucknow while the Agra-Lucknow Access Controlled Six Lane (Greenfield) Expressway would lead to development of villages and urban areas alike.

Insisting that the Samajwadi Pension Scheme, which proposes to cover over 40 lakh families, was the largest pension scheme launched by any state governments, the chief minister said: “Our schemes are strengthening family bonds.”
