A couple was arrested a day after allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in Tulinj area of Nallasopara after luring her into their house to watch television on Friday.

While the girl was engrossed in watching TV, the woman came from behind and caught the her hands, while her husband allegedly raped her

The couple, who stays in Gala Nagar of Nallasopara (E), called the girl to watch TV in the their house on Friday evening. The innocent minor agreed and while she was engrossed in watching TV, the woman came from behind and caught the her hands, while her husband allegedly raped her,said PI Prakash Birajdar of Tulinj police station.

The girl later told her mother,who registered the case and got the husband-wife duo arrested under Sections 376 (rape) and 452 (house trespass) of the IPC and Sections 4,8 and 12 of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act,2012. The accused have been remanded to police custody after being produced in Vasai court on Saturday, and we do not know the motive behind the crime,said the official.
