A 33-year-old woman, whose car was stopped civic officials on election duty, allegedly created nuisance and damaged their video-camera, which was being used to record their work. The woman was arrested for obstructing public servant while discharging duty.

According to the Amboli police, the incident took place around 1.35am near Gundecha Symphony building on the northbound stretch of Veera Desai road. The arrested accused Sheena Lakhani, 33, is a Powai resident. Lakhani questioned them how they could video-record her without her permission. She claimed she was a non-resident Indian (NRI) from Canada and has nothing to do with the Indian elections and so should be allowed to leave. She was produced before a magistrate court and remanded in police custody.
