A body of an unidentified man was recovered from Bandra-Kurla complex (BKC) on Tuesday afternoon. Though the police had initially registered an accidental death report (ADR) in this case, the charge were changed to murder after the autopsy report confirmed foul play.
According to the BKC police, the body was found lying next to Mithi river near ICICI bank. The police said the killer dumped the body to destroy the evidence. The autopsy report issued by the Sion hospital revealed that the deceased had sustained head injuries and a blow to the chest — possible causes of death. The body was first spotted by a taxi driver, who immediately informed the police control room which later alerted the BKC police.
“The man is in his 40’s. We are trying to ascertain his identity,” said inspector (crime) Kalim Shaikh from BKC police station.
