As many as 15 trains on the trans-harbour line had to be cancelled on Saturday after overhead wires between Nerul and Juinagar railway station were reportedly damaged.
Sources from the Central Railway said an MTNL wire fell on the overhead wires around 12.15 pm, after which all trains on the line had to be halted.

Railway engineers repaired the wires and trains resumed operations by 1.10 pm.
“Trains travelling between Thane, Vashi and Nerul were affected by the incident. Commuters travelling to CST from Nerul and Vashi did not have to suffer as those trains were running on time,” said a railway official.
