Mumbai police look for bike used by man who molested women in Bandra and Khar

In two recent molestation cases , at Pali Hill and Carter Road, the perpetrator was seen riding a a white Activa scooter. The Khar police are now looking for the vehicle and questioning those who own one .
They have increased patroling and are checking all CCTV cameras installed in Khar and Bandra .
The police have questioned at least 10 people in the area who own a white Activa.
According to the police, the man targeted his victims when they were on their morning and evening walks.
The first incident took place on June 29 at Nargis Dutt Road in Pali Hill when the man riding his scooter slowed down near a 21-year-old woman, molested her and fled.
In the second case, the molester was also on an Activa. While the victim was on her evening walk around 7pm on July 1 near Rizvi College at Carter Road in Bandra (West).
According to the woman, the suspect covered his face with a handkerchief, but seemed to be in his mid-thirties.
“There is constant police patrolling in the area. The CCTV footage from the area has been scanned. The suspect’s face and vehicle registration number are not clear,” said a police officer.
“We have been conducting inquiries into both the cases and hunting for a person. We will also question those involved in the similar cases in the past,” said senior inspector Ramchandra Jadhav of Khar police station.
