MUMBAI: The Kherwadi police have registered a FIR on Tuesday against three men including an associate director with a leading music company for using police uniform and police stickers on private vehicles while shooting for a film. An official said that prior permission has to be taken from the police before using its uniform or stickers.

According to the Kherwadi police, on Sunday around 10.30 am they received a call from a citizen asking them to keep a watch on a convoy consisting of police van and two more vehicles. The citizen sent the them photographs of the vehicle and the men in the uniform.
The police first sought from the protection branch whether there was any VIP movement and on getting a negative response they started their probe. One team started checking the CCTV footages while another traced one of the vehicles based on its registration number.
They then learnt that the vehicles were hired for shooting of a movie ‘Wajeh Tum Ho’ directed by one Vishal Pandya. The team was apparently shooting a scene in which they wanted to show VIP movement with the convoy.
Deputy commissioner of police, zone X, Virendra Mishra said, “They should have taken police permission before using police uniforms and stickers on their private vehicle.”
