KMC to demolish 19 old buildings as preventive measure

KOLHAPUR: Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has started demolishing about nineteen old building in the city for preventing collapses and consequent loss of lives.

KOLHAPUR: Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has started demolishing about nineteen old building in the city for preventing collapses and consequent loss of lives. The demolishing drive is to be continued despite opposition by those residing in them, as there are disputes over tenancy matters in view of the KMC’s responsibility if the houses collapsed.
