Two held for assaulting teenager

MUMBAI: The Boisar police arrested two people — a 19-year-old youth and a 26-year-old man— for allegedly kidnapping a 17-year-old boy and sexually assaulting him in Palghar on Wednesday.

The accused have been identified as Vinod Vishwakarma and Ajay Chavan. Both are labourers.

Officials said the boy was at home around 11.30 pm when Vishwakarma sought entry to the house on pretext of getting back his fan, which the boy had borrowed. Meanwhile, Chavan waited outside on a motorbike.

Finding the boy alone, Vishwakarma grabbed him and forced him onto the bike. The three reached Chavan’s house in the vicinity. Chavan waited outside, while Vishwakarma pushed the boy inside and bolted the door. He forced the boy to perform sexual activities, the boy told police in his complaint.

The boy said the accused kicked and punched him before forcing himself upon him. Both the accused left after the assault.

The boy narrated the incident to his brother. Together, they approached the police and registered a case against the accused.
