Ten people were killed and nine injured on Monday in an accident on the Pune-Satara highway in Pune, police said.
According to police, the sports utility vehicle was going from Satara to Pune when one of its tyres burst and the vehicle overturned. The accident took place at about 4:30 am near the new tunnel on the highway.

The injured have been admitted to Sassoon hospital in Pune.
