14% water cuts in Thane district

Thane district will face water cuts owing to poor rainfall in the state. Dams and water bodies in the area also have less than the required stock of water.

Thane district will face water cuts owing to poor rainfall in the state. Dams and water bodies in the area also have less than the required stock of water.

As a precautionary measure, to avoid water scarcity in the future, the irrigation department of the state government has decided to impose a 14% water cut in different parts of the district on different days: Ambernath and Badlapur on Monday,

Kalyan (West), Dombivli (West), Patharli and Chole, Dombivli (East) on Tuesday, Thane, Mira Bhayendar, Bhiwandi on Wednesday and Kalyan (East), Dombivali (East) and Ulhasnagar on Friday.
