A 17-year-old inmate of an ashram in Yeoor hills, died on Tuesday after vomiting blood. Dinesh Magar, whose family resides at Bhimnagar in Wagle Estate, was taken to a private hospital, where he was declared dead before admission.

With the cause of death not known, the police filed an accidental death report.
Dinesh, who is in class ten, had been residing at Vivekanand Balakashram, run by Shri Sadguru Seva Mandir Trust for the past ten years with his younger brother Anil, 15.
“As per Anil’s statement, Dinesh was not well on Tuesday and did not go to school. After having dinner, he coughed up blood. He then threw up and there was blood in his vomit, too. He was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. His body has been sent to Thane Civil Hospital for post-mortem,” said assistant police inspector NN Patil.
Dinesh’s mother Tai Magar, 40, a domestic help, resides in a chawl with her eldest son Sunil, 19. Her husband passed away around 13 years ago.
“Dinesh was here 10 days ago and wasn’t well then. I sent him back after he had recovered. Anil says Dinesh had fever for the past few days. Why didn’t anyone from the ashram inform me?” asked Tai.
