The Bandra police on Wednesday arrested two men for allegedly kidnapping, molesting and raping two sisters.
The accused, Ashish Kate (18), and Chetan Solankhi (22), are residents of Jai Bharat Nagar area in Bandra (West).
On Saturday, the two girls were returning home from school around 11.30 am when Kate allegedly approached them and offered them a lift. The sisters agreed to go with him because they knew Kate.
“Kate took them to his friend’s residence in Shastri Nagar, Bandra (West), and called Solankhi,” said Police Inspector Sunil Kulkarni.
While Solankhi took one of the girls to another room and raped her, Kate molested her sister. The accused then threatened the girls with dire consequences if they told anyone about it.
The girls told their mother about the incident on Tuesday.
