A Chicago court began jury selection on Monday in the case against Pakistani-Candian Tahawwur Rana, a co-accused in 26/11 Mumbai attacks, which could reveal ISI’s links to terrorists and any evidence of spy agency’s “malfeasance”.

Wearing a grey suit and a white shirt, Rana waited with his lawyers inside the courtroom at the Dirksen US Courthouse as jury selection began amid tight security. Potential jurors will be asked to answer a questionnaire. The jury selection could take up much of the week. The trial is expected to last a month, with opening arguments not likely before May 23.
Rana, 50, was indicted by a federal grand jury under 12 counts on February 15 last year for planning the attacks, providing material support to LeT and guiding Pakistani American David Headley in scouting targets in Mumbai. Headley, who will be a witness in the trial, has pleaded guilty to avoid the death penalty.
