3 docs do their bit at Azad Maidan

But in the last 10 days, one thing remains unchanged - three doctors, who have been at Azad Maidan since then to attend to fasting volunteers. The doctors - Dr Pragji Vaja, Dr Kalpna Kamani, Dr DS Tiwari - said this is just another way of being part of Hazare's movement, which has swept the entire nation.

"I visit my clinic only for an hour and devote my time for these people. We are conducting regular checks on the fasting volunteers to see that they are in good health," said Dr Kamani who has a clinic at Lalbaug. Dr Vaja and Tiwari too have taken time out of their busy schedules to attend to volunteers. "We ensure that at least one of us remains with volunteers throughout the day," said Dr Vaja.

On Thursday, the doctors tested blood and urine samples to find out their sugar level, ketone bodies and creatinine.
