The Juhu police arrested three teenagers on Thursday, in connection with the house break-in at tennis player Tina Oberoi’s residence on June 13.
Nikhil Harpal Singh, 21, Amit Bhandari, 21 and Mehmood Basha, 23, admitted during interrogation that they wanted to live a lavish lifestyle, police said. A police officer said they grew suspicious of the accused as they spent a lot of money though they were unemployed. Cash, gold jewellery and three mobile phones collectively worth more than Rs 9 lakh was stolen from Oberoi’s Juhu residence.
