Four unidentified persons barged into a customer care centre of State Bank of India in Borivli and made away with Rs. 1.8 lakh in cash after threatening the staff at the centre with a gun.

The incident took place on Friday afternoon in the Vazira Naka area of Borivli (West).
At around 2.30pm, the four accused arrived at the SBI office in a white Maruti Esteem.
Deepak Dalvi and Vijendra Bind, employees of an external agency that was operating the centre, were present in the office. The accused threatened the duo with a revolver and choppers and fled with Rs. 1.8 lakh from the counter.
Police said that the robbers assaulted Bind with a chopper when he tried to resist them. In the tussle that followed, Bind suffered injuries to his right hand.
“Through the CCTV footage obtained from the cameras in the bank's vicinity, we have been able to obtain the registration number of the vehicle used by the accused. It is a stolen vehicle and a complaint had been registered at the Mahim police station,” said an official from Borivli police station, who chose not to be identified.
Police said that on the basis of the description provided by the staffers, the accused appear to be between 25 and 30 years of age.
