The Adarsh panel report would be tabled in both the Houses in the ongoing monsoon session, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar announced in the state Assembly on Wednesday.
The Opposition has been alleging that the government was delaying discussion on the report to protect the people involved.
Pawar said that the government was committed to the report, which was submitted to the chief secretary on April 19.
Devendra Phadnavis (BJP) asked why the government was afraid of the report.
He said that the commission was constituted only after the uproar in both the Houses over the scam in 2010. He demanded that the report be tabled with the action to be taken report (ATR) in the ongoing session.
Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Eknath Khadse alleged that chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat were not making the report public as they wanted to protect the people involved in it.
Officers of the general administrative department and the urban development department are reportedly preparing the ATR.
According to sources, while the government has admitted the recommendations on nine of the 13 terms of references, the recommendations on the other terms have led to differences.
