Janak Sanghavi, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) corporator, said: “I had proposed that like an MLA, every corporator should get a badge from the BMC. This was approved by the then BMC chief Swadheen Kshatriya. Still, the proposal has not been implemented.”

Congress corporator Vinod Shekhar said, “Though it takes time, some of my proposals have been implemented.”

Shiv Sena’s Manmohan Chonkar said, “It is important for a corporator to exercise his right to change the policies.” As per one of Chonkar’s NoMs, builders need to compulsorily give guarantee for the flat they sell. Though it has been approved three years ago, the proposal is still to be implemented.

Said a civic official: “A lot of NoMs are impractical. Hence, there is a delay in replying to these proposals.”
