The Bombay High Court on Tuesday came down heavily on the state government for the alleged large scale irregularities in allotment of land and floor space index for controversial Adarsh Co-operative Housing Society in Cuff Parade.

“This is a clear cut manipulation by collectorate and the urban development and revenue ministries,” observed the division bench of Justice
BH Marlapalle and Justice UD Salvi referring deletion of crucial words and allotment of an adjoining plot for the society.
“It appears everybody who handled the files (pertaining to Adarsh) has been gifted with a flat,” added Justice Marlapalle referring to mysterious incorporation of names of some
“star members” like the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Member of Legislative Council Jitendra Avhad, Shivsena leader Suresh Prabhu, NCP leader Dilip Valse-Patil, chairman of Legislative Assembly Babasaheb Kupekar and kins of senior bureaucrats.
