A senior government official, who is in the know of legislative matters, told Hindustan Times requesting anonymity that the Session will sit on November 3, 4 and 5.

Before that the new Cabinet would have sworn in because the term of the existing House ends of November 3.

“This will be an interim three-day session to facilitate oath taking of new MLAs and election of the speaker, deputy speaker and other presiding officers,” said the official. No other business will be transacted in this session.

The Governor will address both houses on the last day of the session. The full winter session will be held in Nagpur from December 7.
