BMC not ready for rains: Mumbaikars post complaints on Twitter

With large areas of the city flooded , rails services halted and BEST buses off the roads flooded, people in Mumbai took to Twitter to voice their complaint.

With large areas of the city flooded , rails services halted and BEST buses off the roads flooded, people in Mumbai took to Twitter to voice their complaints.

Over the last 24 hours, south Mumbai recorded an average rainfall of around 188mm, and the western suburbs around 172mm.

The forecast of further rain with high tide warnings has led the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to shut all schools for the day, while the Mumbai university has called off all examinations scheduled on Friday.
