Soon, when you take a walk at the promenade at Bandra Bandstand you will be walking alongside the handprints of celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar cast in cement slabs.

Inspired by Los Angeles’s Hollywood Walk of Fame, UTV Stars, a Bollywood channel, will create a Bollywood Walk of Fame in a locality famous for its starry residents.
Nikhil Gandhi, business head of UTV Stars claimed that the resident association has given the proposal a go-ahead. “We’re glad that even the residents’ associations in the area agreed to let us proceed with our plan. They are happy that the locality will become a hotter tourist spot in the city thanks to iconic Bollywood bungalows such as Mannat (Shah Rukh Khan).”
The channel is talking to the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand and others to immortalise them through their prints, just like their Hollywood counterparts. “Our actors are equally iconic and deserve a landmark dedicated to them in this city. We’re still finalising our list of actors because we plan to keep the list limited for now and add more with time.”
