The bodies of Harish Marolia (57) and his hostage Hemini Mehta (14) have been handed over to their relatives after post-mortem examination at Byculla’s JJ Hospital.

Except for the injuries caused by the bullets that killed them, Marolia and Mehta did not have any other major injuries, according to the post-mortems conducted on Friday.

Dr SD Nanandkar, who heads forensic medicine at JJ Hospital, said: “The bullet pierced the right side of Mehta’s lower back. In Marolia’s case, the bullet entered from his right shoulder and reached the left of his chest.” HTC
