Car, 2 bikes burnt at Vashi mall

A car and three motorcycles were gutted in a fire in Vashi on Tuesday evening. No one was injured in the incident. Unconfirmed sources said a man had been seen setting a bike on fire and fleeing the area. Police say they are investigating.

The incident occurred in sector 30 A, opposite Inorbit Mall and Four Points hotel around 4.45 pm. The vehicles a Wagon R car and three motorcycles were completely charred in the incident.

Inspector Ahmed Pathan, of the Vashi police said, “The Inorbit security personnel informed us of the fire. They started fire fighting first with their equipment. The Vashi fire personnel then reached the spot and controlled the situation.” Pathan said, “The owner of the car has been found, but the bike owners are yet to be traced.”
