The Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday filed charge sheet of over 1,000 pages against 14 Railway Protection Force personnel who were arrested last year for allegedly demanding money from passengers who boarded the general compartments of outstation trains.

The CBI had arrested 14 RPF men — Inspector Arvind Kumar Yadav, Sub-Inspector Harimohan Niranjan, Assistant Sub Inspector Garjan Lal Warkade, Head Constable Ramashraya yadav, HC Siya Saran, Police Constable Ravindra Sahani, PC Baban Tayade, PC Vinod Kumar Yadav, PC Ashutosh Singh, PC Ravindra Kailash Gangle, PC Yogendra Singh Suman, PC Rajesh Ubale, PC Vinayak Thore, PC Meghraj Rattan Patil — for allegedly collecting money from passengers standing in queue to board inside the general compartments of trains originating from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT).
CBI had raided the LTT in November last year after they had received a complaint that the policemen were extorting money from passengers.
The policemen were booked under Prevention of Corruption Act and Indian Penal Code.
CBI sources said the chargesheet has statements of over 25 witnesses.
