In Class 4, Arunav Vaish decided he wanted to become a hedge fund manager. Now, after completing Class 12 with a score of 97.7% in the commerce stream, Vaish is well on the way to realise that dream.

“I always wanted to be like Warren Buffet,” said Vaish, 17, a student of Cathedral and John Connon School in Fort, who now plans to apply to Delhi University. “I was aiming to get above 96% because that was the cut-off at Delhi’s Sri Ram College of Commerce last year.”
Indian School Certificate (ISC) results were announced on Saturday afternoon. Maharashtra had a higher pass percentage (98.86%) compared to the national average of 97.25%. At the ISC exam girls had a higher pass percentage than boys both in Maharashtra (99.34% versus 98.4%) as well as overall (98.35% versus 96.36%).
The overall ISC topper was Rohan Sampat, a science stream student of Dubai Modern High School in Dubai with 99.5%.
