City college students aren’t very satisfied with the Indian education system: 75% of those polled in a new survey rated it either three or below on a scale of one to five.
In total, 5,000 students from across 15 city colleges responded to the survey, which was undertaken by 13 second-year students of St Xavier’s College in Dhobi Talao. Just 28% said they were happy with the education quality vis-à-vis the fees, while 44% were happy to some extent.

The findings come a week after it was found that no Indian institute made it to the top 200 in the world on the latest QS World University rankings.
“We observed that a majority of students had one common thought about the Indian education system, which is that… (it) needs to change,” the report observed.
