Chief minister Ashok Chavan on Wednesday said he would discuss the issue of banning Hindu terror outfits with officials from the home department.

“I will discuss the issue with the home department and also examine legal aspects of the banning such outfits,” Chavan said while talking to reporters at the Mantralaya on Wednesday.
He was replying to a query related to Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s speech at All India Congress Committee session in New Delhi where she spoke about Hindu terror outfits.
It was Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad that discovered the involvement of Hindu right wing organisations in bomb blasts at Malegaon.
The role played by right wing outfits in other bomb blasts like the one in Ajmer is now being probed by the investigating agencies from both the Maharashtra as well as the Rajasthan police.
