A source in the crime branch said the fresh round of questioning will be in context with the revelations made by alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) handler Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal.

The crime branch would crosscheck some of Jundal’s claims with Kasab in a bid to build evidence against former, the source said.

“We want to verify all that Jundal has revealed and, if need arises, the two terrorists could be made to confront each other. However, a final decision on this would be taken later,” the source said.

Kasab’s questioning is likely to take place in the Arthur Road jail, where he has been lodged for over three years.

In the past, Kasab has told investigators that Jundal, with three other handlers Abu Hamza, Abu Kafa and Zakiur-Rehman-Lakhvi, had come to see off the 26/11 attackers at Karachi port.

Kasab has also named Jundal and Lakhvi as the ones who imparted training to the 10 terrorists who staged an attack on Mumbai.
