The sessions court on Tuesday extended the interim protection granted to Munir Khan, who allegedly cheated several people, claiming to cure diseases such as AIDS and cancer.

Khan’s lawyer told the court that the accused could not attend the hearing as he was suffering from slip-disc and had been advised bed-rest.
Khan allegedly sold bottles of medicine, called Body Revival, for Rs 15, 000 each.
The case has been adjourned till January 14.
Mahesh Vaswani, representing Tabassum — the actress who has filed a case against Khan — filed an intervention application saying that the medical certificate produced by Khan was a photocopy.
In his application, Khan said that he was innocent and claimed that he has been implicated in the case. The Versova police had filed a case against Khan after several people complained that Khan had cheated them.
