Students appearing for the CBSE board exams this year were more relaxed, or that’s what data from the board’s helpline suggests.

The CBSE exam helpline received 2,626 calls on its toll-free number this year from February 1 to April 13, as compared to 7,333 calls received last year during the same period.
“Earlier, the Class 10 exams were a major cause of concern among students. But now as we have spread the assessment throughout the year, students are less anxious,” said Vineet Joshi, chairperson of the CBSE board.
The board opened its helpline for the second phase of counselling on Monday. It will remain open till June 6.
This year, 36 principals, trained counsellors and psychologists participated in the tele-counselling facility. Students can call 1800-11-7002 to speak to a counsellor.
