“I decided to make some small changes in the movie for the larger good as I wanted that people across the state throng theatres,” said Gupte.

Talking about the rumours that he did not get support from Shiv Sena, a party that he is reportedly close to, the young filmmaker said that would have hardly solved the problem.

“What kind of support are you talking about? I did not want the people to watch the movie while ten guards were standing outside with swords,” he said.

“Therefore, when Nilesh Rane objected to Sada Malwankar’s character sketch in the movie, I thought it is better to make changes than to wage a war as the modifications were minor and did not interfere with the basic message I want to give through the movie,” Avdhoot said.
