Finish probe in two weeks: HT

The Bombay high court (HC) on Wednesday asked the additional commissioner, Customs to complete, within two weeks, the probe against a Saudi Arabian navy captain booked for allegedly carrying fake Indian currency.

The Bombay high court (HC) on Wednesday asked the additional commissioner, Customs to complete, within two weeks, the probe against a Saudi Arabian navy captain booked for allegedly carrying fake Indian currency.

Bandar Huryab, 32, had moved the HC contending that he was not aware the currency he procured from an authorised foreign exchange agency in Jeddah was counterfeit.

He has been in police custody since April 25 despite producing the requisite receipt for the forex transcation.
