The fire broke out at around 8.30pm and spread across the complex that has around 25 galas. An official from the fire brigade said the fire was fuelled further by inflammable material such as wood and oil stored in the compound. Eight fire engines and six water tankers were rushed to the spot located on the busy LBS Marg.

The Kurla police and the fire brigade are probing the incident and are yet to identify the cause of the fire.
