Five-year-old raped in Mankhurd

A five-year-old girl from Mankhurd was allegedly raped by an unidentified accused on Friday. The victim was playing outside her Lallubhai compound residence when the accused allegedly lured her by offering a chocolate, said the Mankhurd police.

The victim followed the accused who led her to a vacant building in the area where he allegedly raped her. Further, the accused allegedly threatened the victim against telling anyone about the incident, said Mankhurd police

When the victim returned home, she told her father about the incident following which he informed the Mankhurd police. The victim was sent to the Rajawadi hospital where she was given treatment.

“We have a witness who saw the accused. Based on his description, we are preparing a sketch of the accused. We have also showed him pictures of drug peddlers with a record from the area, to find out if any one of them is involved in the incident,” said an officer from Mankhurd police station.
