The aircraft is the ninth one of the 10 planes for which it had placed an order with French aircraft-maker, Airbus for $ 1.2-billion in 2006.

"The ninth aircraft strikes the right note for our winter travel schedule," GoAir's Chief Executive Officer, Kaushik Khona, said in a press release here.

Following the introduction of the new aircraft, the airline will be operating 890 commercial flights per week under the new winter schedule, he said.

The airline is expected to receive the 10th and the last one of the first tranche of aircraft deliveries in October, Khona said.

"After the induction of the tenth aircraft in the fleet, we will introduce 4 new routes to meet up the increasing demand," he said.

GoAir is increasing the overall frequency within its network by increasing commercial flight operations from 730 flights to 890 commercial flights per week, he said.
