God is at hand

The debate on God’s existence never ends. If He is there, what is the proof? This is an oft-repeated question one hears here, there and everywhere.

Admittedly, it is not only a difficult question to answer, but also strange because this is asking about something in which millions of people rest their belief.

But then there is an answer, and a positive one.

True, the question shares a genuine concern of all human beings.

Apostles laboured hard, martyrs died in torments, scholars and scientists proclaimed the beauties of higher life, sociologists untiringly inculcated the sense of duties of good citizen, the philosophers pioneered sublime thoughts and all agreed that God is one and that man’s first duty is to realise Him.

Life is incomplete without God: One of the greatest modern psychologists, Jung, has described in ‘Modern Man in Search of Soul’, that among all his patients, there had not been even one whose problem in the last resort was not that of finding a religious outlook on life. Great thinker Augustine of Hippo writes, “Restless are our souls until they rest in Thee, My God.”

God is at hand: God knowledge is purely a prerogative and matter of grace of the contemporary True Master who, with a combination of spoken words and a practical hint with hand, pointedly introduces the seeker to the all-pervading God. With normal attention for a while, one sees the formless invisible God and discovers that in Him we live, we move and exist.

Brahamgyan: The world is full of vast knowledge with various dimensions and specialisations.

So many things not seen and known in the world may not put us to any disadvantageous position in life.

But, God, the source of every knowledge and primary objective of human life is essentially worth seeing and knowing by one and all. This direct knowledge of God is called Brahamgyan, which means lasting perception of the Formless God (Nirankar). (The 64th annual Nirankari Sant Samagam is being held in Delhi)
