On Sunday, those heading in and out of the fitness centre stayed tight lipped when

asked about Headley, or its trainers Rahul Bhatt and Vilas Warak.

Headley was in Mumbai five days before the Mumbai terror attacks on November 26 last year.

Police are investigating if Headley, a member at the gym, knew Warak and had met Rahul through him.

“Many of us knew at least one of the three. We visit the gym daily so we’re bound to run into them but we never had a clue about the case,” said 31-year-old Aryan Malhotra, who carried a gym bag and claimed to be a member.

Most members and some management employees of the upscale gym, which is located opposite the US Consulate, seem ignorant of the Headley case, and clammed up at the mention of the three names.

According to the police, Headley was obsessed with fitness and was a regular at Moksh.

“All I know about Vilas is that he was an employee of the gym. I have seen him a couple of times, but I had no clue he was a trainer here,” he added.

Police said Headley first befriended Warak, through whom he met Bhatt, before requesting them for help in looking for a house.

When the police checked Headley’s membership papers, his photograph was missing. We do not know anything about any of the three, was the common refrain among those emerging from the gym on Sunday afternoon.
