The exam season kicks in today, with the start of the Class 12 board exams. A total of 2,95,057 students across Mumbai and 13,00,549 in Maharashtra will appear for it.

On Tuesday, all students will sit for a language paper — Marathi, French, Tamil, Bengali or Punjabi, among others.
The board said everything is in place for the exams go smoothly. It has a helpline (27893756), which works between 7 am and 9 pm.
The state board’s SSC exams begin on March 4, while Class 10 and 12 CBSE exams and Class 10 ICSE exams start on March 3.
