Shilpa, also the brand ambassador of the RR team, was present at the hearing on a petition filed by the IPL franchisee against the termination of their contract by the BCCI, along with co-owner and her husband Raj Kundra.

The court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing to Friday after the BCCI lawyer sought time to file a reply.

Harish Salve, counsel for Rajasthan Royals, argued that the franchise needed certain interim relief such as a stay to the termination, permission to sell brand related merchandise and to continue the players' contracts with the team.

"I don't want to say anything, because the process has just begun. I just hope and pray that fairness prevails. That is all I want to say," Shilpa told reporters after coming out of the court.

"We all have been very, very troubled. It is apparent because it is a business," she said.

Asked how strong their defence is, the Bollywood actress said, "We will come to know on Friday."
