“This is a routine update. Every year, we are told that the results will announced around that time,” said a school principal. In 2010, the results were announced on May 19. However, the head of the board, Gerry Arathoon had said at a conference in February in Mumbai that the results would be announced a week earlier than usual, on account of the new system of centralised marking.

“Our teachers have gone to the various designated centres, and the new correction system is working very well,” said CR Pathak, principal of HVB Academy at Marine Lines.

This is the second year of the new marking system wherein teachers gather at certain locations and correct papers together. Previously, teachers would take the papers home to correct.”
