Injured govindas still undergoing treatment

"If her condition continues to be stable we might shift her from the intensive care unit (ICU) to the ward soon," said Dr Sandhya Kamath, dean, Sion Hospital.

While many injured govindas were sent back home after treatment on Monday, those with serious injuries are still battling for their life in city hospitals. On Monday, Khalapur resident Umesh Bombe, 25, was rushed to the trauma ICU at Sion Hospital after he fell off a human pyramid. "Bombe suffered a massive blood clot in the brain. He is unconscious and is on ventilator," said Dr Kamath.

Dahisar resident Salim Sayed, 22, who was admitted to Bhagwati Hospital's ICU on Monday, was on a ventilator till Tuesday afternoon.

Salim, who works in a garage, fell from the fourth tier of a human pyramid. He injured his head and fractured his right hand and leg.
