The CCTV footage was extracted from one of the cameras installed on a lane behind the Panchratna building at Opera House. The investigators have zeroed in on three suspects in the footage.

HT has now learnt that the footage showed backs of two of the three suspects, while only one suspects face could be seen clearly. The sketch will be circulated internally in the various teams that have been formed for the investigation of the case.

Sources say the clarity of the footage was good and has helped police in putting together a face for their investigation.According to investigators, the three did not “fit” in the crowd. They looked out of place.

The three moved separately and did not seem to be known to each other. They were seen using mobile phones and were seen making various gestures.
