Airport officials said the Boeing 737 encountered a hydraulic failure in its left engine. The pilot then sought the Mumbai air traffic control unit’s permission to land on priority.
Fire tenders, ambulances and airfield safety vehicles were deputed at the tarmac but since the flight landed safety, they were not needed, said a Mumbai airport spokesperson.
