Kalyan court summons Raj Thackeray

The Kalyan sessions court has issued summons to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, for overstaying in the Kalyan-Dombivli area during the local municipal elections.

The Kalyan sessions court has issued summons to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, for overstaying in the Kalyan-Dombivli area during the local municipal elections.

“The sessions court had ordered Raj Thackeray to be present in court on February 5,” said YA Matkari, inspector of the Ramnagar police station.

He added that according to election code of conduct, Thackeray, who had come to campaign for Kalyan-Dombivli civic elections, had to leave the area before October 29, 2009 which he didn’t.
