Several flights connecting Mumbai and tier-II cities such as Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Patna and Srinagar were not available on the airline's schedule.

A Kingfisher spokesperson said that some of these 208 flights would continue to be non-operational over the next four days, since many of its aircraft are grounded due to reasons including bird hits. The spokesperson however, denied that the airline is cutting down flights.

On Saturday, the airline's schedule showed only two flights a week between Mumbai and Lucknow as opposed to daily services earlier.

Morning flights to Ahmedabad and Hyderabad from the city were also missing. Worst affected were flights to Kolkata where Kingfisher airport staffers had started a flash strike on Friday evening owing to frequent delays in salaries. Mumbai airport officials said all flights to the metro were delayed or combined. Officials added that two evening flights on the busy Mumbai-Delhi sector were also suspended without notice.
