A labourer died after falling of from a building which was under construction, in Dahisar (East) on Sunday.

The work on the site was suspended after the incident.According to the police Basappa Kadam, a plumber by profession was working on the fifth floor of the Dev Niketan building number 2, at Dharakhadi, when he slipped and feel down.
"Kadam lost balance and came crashing down," said an eye witness.
He suffered severe head injuries and was immediately rushed to Bhagwati Hospital where he died. The Dahisar police checked the site for any negligence that might have occurred which resulted in the death.
"After talking to the other workers we found that Kadam didn't watch his step while working and hence slipped and fell," said an officer from the police station. "As a result we did not register a complaint against the builder."
The police have registered a case of accidental death.
