The VP Road police arrested a 40-year-old labourer after he stabbed to death his 30-year-old colleague for allegedly calling coaxing his cousin sister to leave her husband and marry him.

According to the police, Shahid Ali Ahmed Ali Nadaf, 30, and Nasir Kausar Sayyad Ali, 40, worked as in a small-scale saree unit in Arun Varshid building at Fokland Cross lane, VP Road.
The duo had been at loggerheads after Ali came to know that Nadaf would call his sister in Uttar Pradesh. He would tell her to divorce her husband and marry him, the police said.
Rajendra Chavan, senior inspector, VP Road police station, said, "On Tuesday, the two had a spat at the workplace, following which Ali pulled out a knife and stabbed Nadaf."
