Airport officials said the pilot noticed the problem only after reaching the taxiway. The passengers and crew were safe. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has recorded the incident as a minor case.

“It is difficult to detect a tyre burst from the cockpit,” said a DGCA official, requesting anonymity. A tyre burst could lead to the plane skidding off the runway or cause a fire due to friction.
